The Catholic University of America is happy to announce the creation of an Assistantship for Music Ministry. Working closely with and reporting to the Associate Campus Minister for Liturgy and Worship, the Music Ministry Assistant will be responsible for the University’s music ministry program, both planning and participating in a variety of liturgies. The spiritual life on campus is vibrant and the music program at CUA consists of a diversity of liturgical moments on campus.
Part time (19 hours/week). Compensation will include a full tuition scholarship at the graduate level and $15,000 stipend/academic year. The Assistantship is possibly renewable for a second year.
Candidate should have experience in music ministry, knowledge of Catholic liturgy, excellent keyboard and choral conducting skills, be comfortable with a wide variety of liturgical genres and devotional music (from choral music to contemporary Christian music). Candidate will also assist in recruitment, training and development of student music ministers.
Candidate must be accepted into or in good standing in a graduate program at The Catholic University of America. Preference will be given, but not limited to students of the Sacred Music Program in the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music or the Liturgical Studies Program in the School of Theology.
